Description

This Bowtie Pasta with Ground Beef combines hearty ground beef, tender pasta, and a creamy tomato sauce for a cozy, family-friendly meal. With a hint of paprika and topped with melty cheese, this dish is satisfying, flavorful, and easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta: Prepare the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Sauté Onion and Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.

3️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.

4️⃣ Simmer with Tomatoes and Broth: Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

5️⃣ Add Cream and Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring until well combined. Add the shredded cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce becomes creamy.

6️⃣ Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the creamy beef sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

7️⃣ Serve: Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley for a pop of color.

Notes

  • Cheese Options: For a sharper flavor, use Parmesan, or for a creamier texture, opt for cheddar or mozzarella.
  • Add Vegetables: Consider adding mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for extra nutrients.
  • Spice Level: For a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne along with the paprika.
  • Storing Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of broth if needed.
