Ingredients
- 1 (16-inch) loaf Italian bread
- 1 (8 oz) package chive and onion cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Ranch dressing
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 3 cups cooked chicken, roughly chopped
- 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 3 medium green onions, finely chopped
- 3 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese, divided
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
2️⃣ Make the Filling:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Ranch dressing, garlic salt, and onion powder until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped chicken, crumbled turkey bacon, chopped green onions, and 1 cup of the shredded Colby-Jack cheese. Mix until everything is well combined.
3️⃣ Prepare the Bread:
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and remove some of the bread from the center of each half to create a hollow space for the filling.
4️⃣ Layer the Filling:
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the cheese layer, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese.
5️⃣ Assemble and Butter the Bread:
- Place the top half of the bread over the filling and press down gently to secure.
- Brush the entire loaf with melted butter for a golden, crispy crust.
6️⃣ Wrap and Bake:
- Wrap the stuffed loaf in foil and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the bread is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7️⃣ Slice and Serve:
- Let the bread rest for about 5 minutes after baking, then slice into 1-inch thick pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a dash of red pepper flakes or a sprinkle of Italian seasoning to the filling. This stuffed bread is also great with a side of Ranch or marinara for dipping!
